Romania will export the successor of Logan in Russia in the second half of 2009.

Renault will sell the Sandero model in Russia in the second half of the year 2009; the vehicles will be imported from Romania but in the future they will be produced at Avtoframos factory in Moscow, where they  already produce the Logan.

Sandero is built on a Renault-Nissan platform, which is used on Logan, and will be available with petrol and diesel engines.

Under the Dacia brand, Sandero is produced only in Mioveni factory, and from 2009 will be manufactured in Somaca, near Casablanca, Morocco.

Sandero will also be produced under the Renault brand in Colombia at the end of this year, and in South Africa and Russia from 2009.

Avtoframos was founded in 1998, and the annual production capacity will be doubled to 160,000 units in 2009. The factory will continue to assemble the Logan model after the launch of Sandero.

In 2007, Renault sold 101.200 cars in Russia, and Logan is among the most popular foreign cars on the Russian market
