Although in Romania, the first market where Sandero will be launched, the price isn’t known, the international magazines begun to publish Dacia Sandero prices in other countries in Europe.
After we found out the price for Dacia Sandero in Great Britan (around 10.000 Euros), the Belgian auto magazine Turbo Magazine wrote that the price of Dacia Sandero in Benelux will start from 7.950 Euros for the 1.4 petrol engine and 75 HP. The price for an high end Sandero with 1.6 engine and 90 HP will be 10.050 Euros.
Those numbers don’t say anything unless you know what features are included for that price. There are many economy cars whose prices start from something like 8000 Euro, but to get such essential things as ABS and a couple of frontal air bags you need to shell our something more close to 12000 Euro, which is a whole different story. At least this is so in my country (Ukraine), which is as far as I know one of the key markets for Dacia.
Sandero will follow the Logan success story: cheap car with less standard equipment.
Yeah, which means: an expensive car if you want anything of the equipment.
I mean the case when for a price of a decently equipped “cheap car” you can buy a higher level car that already has that equipment as standard, and at the same time is overally better. That’s one of the reasons why in my country Logan isn’t as popular as it had been imagined.
Logan is very popular in Romania, France, Germany and many other countries so i think overall is a good car.
It’s a perfect car for a working man. It gives low fuel consumption, good road performance with good ground clearance, enough storage space compared to some other brands of cars, enough comfort for passengers and all the equipment you really need to have a safe ride. What more can big cars offer? IMHO – nothing. Dacia has it all.
Reading these comments leading up to buying a Stepway as ex pat in Latvia they will not allow my RHD car on their roads. i must say how impressed I am with all comments in good English. I take on Ellerion advice as the price is right so come on down,as we say in England.
