Renault Sandero RS officially launched

The French from Renault have officially launched the new Sandero RS at the Buenos Aires Motor Show in Argentina.


The new hatchback from Renault will be powered by an 2.0 liter petrol engine which develops 145 HP and has a manual gearbox with 6 reports. Also, according to official information the Renault Sandero RS will have a new sport ESP system for more sportive drive.

The 2.0 engine with 16 valves, also used on the Renault Duster that is sold in South America is the only naturally aspirated engine from the Renault Sport range. The Renault Sandero RS will be the first sportive model from the Renault range that is manufactured outside Europe, in Argentina.


The Sandero RS has a more sportive exterior design, with spoilers inspired from more expensive models like Clio RS and Megane RS, with daytime LED lights and generous size rims, while the interior with red finishes and a steering wheel with the RS logo.


The Renault RS will have very good performances due to the combination between the 2.0 engine and the low weight of the car (1161 kg): 0-100 km/h in 8 seconds, a top speed of 202 km/h and better cornering maneuverability. Moreover, the Sandero RS is 26 millimeters lower than a normal Sandero model.


The new Sandero RS will be sold in the beginning only in South America, but there is a possibility that this model will be sold in the future in Europe, under the Dacia logo.
